Manhattan Group pull toys recalled

WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of Manhattan Group pull toys due to choking and aspiration hazards.

About 2,400 Pull-A-Long Friends Toucan, Alligator and "Sharky" toys were imported from Thailand by Manhattan Group LLC of Minneapolis, Minn., and sold nationwide from September 2009 through January 2010 for about $22.

The toys have wooden parts that can break off and choke a young child, the commission said Wednesday.

The recall involves Pull-A-Long Friends Toucan with lot code number 210720GB, Pull-A-Long Friend Alligator with lot code 210750GB and Pull-A-Long Friend Sharky with lot code 210530GB.

Consumers were advised to take the toys away from children and return them to the retailer for a refund or a replacement toy.
