The recalled switches, imported from China by Woodstock International of Bellingham, Wash., have wiring that is the wrong size, the commission said in a statement.

About 450 of the switches were sold nationwide at woodworking stores between July 2008 and June 2009 for about $50.

The recall involves model numbers D3038 and D3346. Both models have "Shop Fox" molded into the plastic casing.

Consumers were advised to stop using the switches and contact Woodstock International for directions on obtaining a refund or a replacement.

Consumers can call 800-840-8420 for information.
