PLANO, Texas, April 28 (UPI) -- Grabbing a Dr Pepper was made a bit easier Tuesday as McDonald's agreed to allow all of its 14,000 U.S. restaurants to keep Dr Pepper on tap.
Previously, Dr. Pepper was available in approximately 8,500 McDonald's restaurants, Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. said in a statement.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to bring Dr Pepper to millions more McDonald's guests each day," the beverage company's Chief Executive Officer Larry Young said.
"Dr Pepper has been a great McDonald's supplier for many years. It's a brand that performs well in our system," said Karen Wells, Vice President of Strategy and Menu, McDonald's USA.
"As our customers continue to look for more variety and choice in the beverage offerings available to them, it makes sense to have brands like Dr Pepper and Diet Dr Pepper available," she said.
