Kodak changes terms for online gallery

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 31 (UPI) -- U.S. film giant Eastman Kodak Co. said it would start requiring online Kodak Gallery users to make purchases or have their photos deleted from the site.

The company said the new terms go into effect immediately, the Rochester, N.Y., Democrat and Chronicle reported Tuesday.

Kodak, trying to find ways to make money off of the photo sharing Web site that includes 75 million users, said it would require users who have two gigabytes or less of photos stored in the system to purchase a minimum of $5 worth of merchandise a year, including prints.

Users with more than two gigabytes of photos stored in the system will be required to make $20 worth of purchases a year, the company said.
