BELGRADE, Serbia, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- The Serbian government will buy 30,000 desktop computers for schools and universities, Finance Minister Mladjan Dinkic said Thursday.
It's Serbia's biggest purchase of personal computers. Friday the government will publish a tender seeking bids, Belgrade's Beta news agency said.

An auction to decide the winner will be televized nationwide at a date still to be fixed.
Dinkic said the government plans to introduce electronic administration systems in Serbia's major state institutions at central and local levels in the next four years.
