TEL AVIV, Israel, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Israel Aircraft Industries' Bedek Aviation Group said Wednesday back-orders for jumbo jet conversions extend through 2008.
IAI turns Boeing 747 passenger jets into cargo planes and recently completed its 38th such operation, under a contract to Northwest Airlines, on a 747-200.

The company also said it was developing a "Supplemental Type Certificate" with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for conversion of the Boeing 747-400 Combi.
It expects FAA approval of the new certificate
