WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Railway ministers of Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan plan to meet in Baku, Azerbaijan, to discuss connecting the countries' railways, RIA Novosti reports.
"The functioning of this railway will contribute to the economic growth of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan," said Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Gholamreza Shafei, at a news conference in Moscow Tuesday. The meeting is set for next month.

Shafei also said the head of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yevgeny Primakov, will visit Iran on February 11-13.
