PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Cathy Minehan told a forum Friday the Fed must keep its eye on keeping inflation contained.
The forum was held at the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank.

In a speech that focused largely on the U.S. labor market's troubles in recent years, Minehan also said that ensuring price stability "is the most important thing" the Fed can contribute to the economy.
Minehan's comment followed a Labor Department report showing non-farm payrolls growing a lackluster 112,000 in November after climbing a robust 303,000 in October.
