OTTAWA, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Canada's unemployment rate in August remained unchanged at 7.2 percent, it was reported Friday.
Overall employment fell by about 7,000 jobs in August, CBC said.

The number of Canadians out of work stood at slightly less than 1.25 million in August, up from just under 1.24 million in July.
The number of full-time jobs for adult men rose by 25,000 in August, pushing the unemployment for this group to 5.8 percent, the lowest since December 2000.
Among adult women, employment was flat for a third straight month, rising just 0.2 point to 6.2 percent.
