PAOLI, Pa., July 19 (UPI) -- Ametek Inc. of Paoli, Pa., Monday acquired the assets of Hughes-Treitler Manufacturing, a privately held company based in Garden City, N.Y.
Ametek said it acquired the supplier of heat exchangers and thermal management subsystems for the aerospace and defense markets for approximately $48 million in cash.
Hughes-Treitler has about 190 employees and expected annual sales of approximately $32 million, Ametek said.
Hughes-Treitler provides heat exchangers and other subsystems designed for equipment cooling or maintaining environmental integrity in the commercial and military aerospace industries.
Ametek is a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electric motors with annualized sales of more than $1.2 billion.
