Reebok buys Hockey Company

CANTON, Mass., June 17 (UPI) -- Reebok International of Canton, Mass., said Thursday it has acquired approximately 92 percent of Montreal-based Hockey Company Holdings.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hockey is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of hockey apparel and equipment.

Reebok is a leading designer, marketer and distributor of sports, fitness and casual footwear, apparel and equipment under the Reebok, Rockport and Greg Norman Brands and footwear under the Polo Ralph Lauren Brand.

Reebok's sales for 2003 totaled approximately $3.5 billion.
