New home sales jump

WASHINGTON, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- The Commerce Department on Friday said that sales of new single-family homes jumped 6.4 percent in November to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 934,000 units. Economists on Wall Street were expecting new home sales to rise 0.6 percent during the month after rising 0.2 percent in October.
