LOS ANGELES -- Organist Bob Ralston, who played for the Lawrence Welk orchestra for more than 20 years, has been ordered to stand trial on charges he molested two boys.

Ralston, 46, was bound over to Superior Court on two counts of child molestation and one count of oral copulation at the conclusion of his Municipal Court preliminary hearing Monday.

He faces arraignment Sept. 25 in Superior Court.

Officers from the Police Department's Sexually Exploited Child Unit said Ralston was arrested in May at his home in the Granada Hills district after a search of the residence uncovered photos showing him engaged in sexual acts with boys.

A spokeswoman for Welk said the entertainer's musical troupe disbanded two years ago and she was not aware of Ralston's current professional activities.
