LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Selena Gomez has spoken out for the first time since it was revealed that she had spent some time in rehab.
Gomez said in a caption on her Instagram Monday, "I've done everything I could to the best of my ability. Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me." This comes after the 21-year-old pop star spent 2 weeks in Arizona's Dawn at the Meadows rehab center.
Demi Lavato, a friend of Gomez's and another star who has had substance abuse issues, said, "I've known her for 14 years and we've been best friends. That's all of her business, and I just want to let her do her thing. And yeah, she's amazing. I love her."
Former member of the Jonas Brothers Joe Jonas echoed that statement and said, "I want her to succeed and I want her to be happy."
