Amy Adams, Matthew McConaughey to star in 'Inside the Actors Studio' specials

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Amy Adams and Matthew McConaughey are set to appear in two separate specials for Inside the Actors Studio in the middle of Academy Award voting.

Bravo announced Thursday that the Oscar-nominated actors will be featured in back-to-back interviews with James Lipton in mid-February.

Lipton's interview with Adams, who won a Golden Globe and is nominated for an Oscar for her role in American Hustle will air Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

The episode featuring McConaughey, who also won a Golden Globe and is nominated for an Academy Award for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, will air Thursday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

"The period leading up to the Oscars is always our busiest time of the year, possibly because so many of our guests have wound up holding the treasured trophy," says Lipton in the announcement of the specials.

This year's Academy Award nomination is Adams' fifth, and the first for McConaughey. You can watch a clip of the actress's Oscar-worthy performance in America Hustle, below.
