Lindsay Lohan announces fresh start, new film at Sundance

Lindsay Lohan is giving another shot at returning to the big screen.

The actress announced at Sundance Monday she would be producing and starring the psychological thriller, Inconceivable, with Emmett/Furla Films, the studio that most recently produced Lone Survivor.

Lohan will be involved in choosing a director, and is slated to start filming in March. And despite her problematic history of drug use and erratic behavior, the film company said Lohan's star power was still able to attract the $5 million necessary to make the film.

“I went to the insurance company and they met with Lindsay,” said Emmett/Furla CEO Randall Emmett. “They put a policy in place where everybody worked together to make it happen. It was actually easier than you might think.”

For her part, Lohan seemed ready to put her troubled past behind her.

"It's nice to have someone like Randall give me the opportunity and put his faith and trust in me," she said. "It's time for me to get back on set."

A deal with Lionsgate's Grindstone division guarantees Inconceivable will be released in at least New York and Los Angeles, before being released on DVD and on-demand.
