Reality star Honey Boo Boo and several members of her family were taken to a hospital Monday night after the car they were in was hit by a truck near their home in McIntyre, Ga.

Alana Thompson, the pageant girl known as Honey Boo Boo, along with her mother, Mama June Shannon, and her sisters Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon and Jessica Shannon were in the car driven by their father, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, when the accident occurred.

They were waiting to turn at a red light, and when the light turned green, a truck plowed into their SUV. The driver of the truck was allegedly speeding and had his lights off when he crashed into the family's car.

Mama June said they refused transport from the EMTs, choosing to go to a different hospital in the SUV driven by their bodyguard.

Pumpkin, 13, said she has severe chest bruising and is suffering from panic attacks, while Thompson has a back contusion, Mama June is suffering from back and neck sprain, and Alana, 7, hit her head on a passenger window and has a headache.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo returns to TLC for its third season January 16.
