Ke$ha in treatment for eating disorder

Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Ke$ha was admitted to a Chicago rehab facility on Friday morning, after confirming she suffers from an eating disorder.

“I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice," the 26-year-old singer said in a statement. "I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

Ke$ha began a fitness regime last year after tabloids published photos of her in a bikini back in 2011.

"Im doing a juice cleanse and I want to die," she tweeted last April.

But it looks like the "Your Love is My Drug" singer has high hopes for the New Year.

"Cheers to this year being the best year ever. 2014 gon be the year of truth and freedom." she wrote Wednesday. [Just Jared, TMZ, E! News]
