Dec. 26 (UPI) -- After a year or two away from the spotlight -- in which tabloids wondered whether the former child star had a substance abuse problem -- Macaulay Culkin resurfaced as the 33-year-old frontman of a pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band.
Together with a small group of anti-folk musicians, Macaulay Culkin and the Pizza Underground have debuted singles like "Take a Bite of the Wild Slice" and "I'm Waiting for Delivery Man." In keeping with that motif, the band also posted a video of Culkin eating a pizza by himself in a seemingly empty room.
"My name is Macaulay Culkin, and I just finished pizza," the former actor says in the clip, which garnered nearly 800,000 views by Christmas Day.
The video's a tribute to "Andy Warhol eating a hamburger," starring the famed pop artist and frequent Velvet Underground collaborator.
