Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Eleven people were injured Friday when an elderly woman drove her sedan into an Oceanside, N.Y., Trader Joe's, police said.

A Nassau County police spokeswoman said all 11 -- including the driver -- suffered non life-threatening injuries, though two were considered in serious condition.

The accident happened at about 1 p.m. EST when the driver hit two cars in the parking lot and drove into the store front at the Trader Joe's. She destroyed three cash registers before coming to a stop against a wall.

“When the car came through, it was just like shattering glass, and the next thing we knew the registers were like dominoes and went down, 1-2-3,” an identified witness said.

“There was somebody trapped, pinned up against the wall, half under the car," said a worker from a nearby business who only gave his name as Kevin. “I saw firefighters try to extricate the person.”
No charges were filed against the driver.
