Dec. 4 (UPI) -- That's not Natalie Portman kissing Chris Hemsworth's Norse god at the end of Thor 2: The Dark World. It's Hemsworth's model-actress wife, Elsa Pataky, who's pregnant with the couple's second child.

Portman, who plays Thor's love interest in the film, said Pataky donned a wig to impersonate her for the final, all-important makeout scene.

“It was for reshoots (after the film was finished) and he was working in Hong Kong and I couldn't get there because I was working on my own film,” Portman said. “And so they put his wife in my wig and costume, that's why it was so passionate.”

“It was such a perfect solution, wasn’t it,” she added.

Hemsworth and Pataky started dating back in 2010, marrying less than a year later. They welcomed daughter India Rose in May of last year. Pataky has previously starred in Fast and Furious 6.
