Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Was Breaking Bad just a nightmare that Hal from Malcolm in the Middle had one night after he ate too many deep-fried Twinkies? According to a leaked alternate ending, that could be the case.

As part of an extra for fans who purchase the Breaking Bad complete series box set, AMC recorded an “official” alternate ending featuring show star Bryan Cranston (Walter White) reprising his role as Hal from Malcolm in the Middle with a little help from his former TV wife Jane Kazmarek.

Sony quickly pulled the video clip from YouTube citing copyright infringement, but many more have popped up online.

In the clip, Cranston wakes up as Hal, and in telling his wife about the dream, describes his hot blond wife, says Aaron Paul (Jesse) was "a little guy, a waif, a man-child, (a) kid who always looked like he was wearing his older brother's clothes," and says Dean Norris, who played DEA agent Hank Schrader, "look(ed) like the guy from The Shield."

The DVD box set is due out November 25.
