Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Coast Guard crews are still searching for a 54-year-old woman who went overboard the Grand Princess cruise ship 750 miles northeast of Hilo, Hawaii on Wednesday.

Princess Cruises, which owns the vessel, said Thursday that surveillance footage and a witness' account seemed to suggest that the woman had "intentionally" jumped off the ship around 1 pm Wednesday.

"This is very sad," Princess Cruises rep Julie Benson said in a statement. "This was not an accident. It was apparent that she went overboard intentionally."

"It's very apparent from the witnesses and the video that this was her intention," Benson said.

The ship, which started in San Francisco, was three days into a 15-day trip around Hawaii.

Benson said that though waters are cold and rough, it's still possible that the woman survived.
