Zac Efron broke his jaw

Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Zac Efron fans will be disappointed to know that the Parkland star broke his perfectly chiseled jaw so severely that he's had to have his mouth wired shut.

The 26-year-old actor won't be able to promote his upcoming film That Awkward Moment because he slipped on a puddle of water at his Los Angeles home. He suffered injuries so serious that doctors wired his mouth shut and gave him stitches.

Efron has reportedly been to rehab twice this year for substance abuse, though sources have said that he's now clean.

The former Disney Channel star Instagrammed a photo of himself in Peru back in September.

"Hey guys! Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks ... means the world to me. Love you guys!" he wrote.
