Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Multiple gunshots rang out near Pittsburgh's Brashear High School Wednesday afternoon, injuring three male students and prompting officials to place Brashear and a local middle school on lockdown.
Officials said Wednesday that the shootings took place about a mile from Brashear, where a gunman emerged from the woods.
All three of the victims were teenage students -- one was shot in the leg and foot, while the other was shot in the neck and shoulder. The last victim, who had been grazed in the head with a bullet, ran back towards the school where an administrator pulled him inside. None of the victims have life-threatening injuries.

Pittsburgh police have six persons of interest in custody in connection with the shooting, which officials suspect was drug-related.
"While our officers were prepared for the worst, we are very pleased that the shooting did not occur in the school or on school premises," the city's mayor-elect, Bill Peduto, said in a statement.
