Miley Cyrus rumored to have penned 'apologetic' letter to Liam Hemsworth

(UPI) -- Miley Cyrus has spend the last few months unapologetically experimenting with her provocative side, telling Ellen DeGeneres post-breakup: "I'm the happiest I've ever been." So there's been no public indication that the 20-year-old pop star has any intention of getting back together with ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth, who was reportedly less-than-supportive of her transformation.

But British tabloid The Sun is reporting that the "Wrecking Ball" singer "still loves Liam deeply" and wanted to hash out their breakup.

"She thought about writing some songs, but then decided why not write a letter to Liam to tell him exactly how she feels. Miley admitted to Liam she has pushed him away and said sorry for acting so mad," said The Sun's anonymous source.

"Miley says in her letter she still loves Liam deeply and has asked him to meet up. It could be for closure or it could be to start again, but she just wants to see him and talk things through," the source added.

Unfortunately for Cyrus-Hemsworth shippers, the rumors should probably be taken with a grain of salt. Cyrus reportedly spent Halloween getting cozy with Benji Madden.
