(UPI) -- Taking a cue from British street artist Banksy, whose work is famous for its political and social commentary, Justin Bieber defiled the streets of Bogota in support of a cause that's especially close to his heart -- Chris Brown.

Bieber and several members of his crew, including R&B singer Khalil, spent Wednesday night spray-painting in the Colombian capital. Don't worry Bieber fans -- graffiti is apparently legal in Bogota.

"Free Breezy," the 19-year-old pop star wrote on one wall, in reference to Brown's recent altercation outside a Washington, D.C. hotel. The singer spent a night in jail before heading to a rehab facility in Malibu "to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior."

Bieber also spray-painted the words "R.I.P. PAC" over a giant frog flipping his middle finger, likely in tribute to his late hamster.
