(UPI) -- Former NBA All Star and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley didn’t hold anything back while taking shots at current hoops stars LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Barkley revealed he wouldn’t rank James among the top five players of all time despite the nearly constant media buzz surrounding the Miami Heat forward.

“LeBron can get to No. 6 on my list, but here's the thing that bothers me about the whole LeBron debate: I want to know why y'all killed Kobe Bryant! Y'all don't even compare him to LeBron anymore. You are skipping him for LeBron and going right to Michael. I'm still going to take five [titles] over two. It makes me laugh with my friends -- the media just kills Kobe Bryant. Like he's dead! Five still is a lot more than two!”

Barkley’s top five is made up of Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell.

He also made a media appearance in New York for Inside The NBA on Monday where he found time to rip into Anthony’s reported decision to possibly leave the Knicks.

“When I heard that [Anthony said he would test free agency], I was very disappointed because he wanted to come here,” Barkley said. “Now, all of a sudden, he wants to leave, he wants to test free agency. That really [ticked] me off, to be honest with you. He owns the city. He should be trying to get guys to come here and not [be] like, ‘I’ll stay here for a couple years. I forced my way here, number one. … I got here [and] now I want to leave.’ That’s just not cool at all, to be honest with you.”

While fellow TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal was comparing James and Anthony, Barkley interrupted to mention the one thing he found similar. “Well, they’re both black.”
