Pauly D claims baby mama is using daughter for fame, wants full custody

(UPI) -- Former Jersey Shore star Paul DelVecchio aka Pauly D told TMZ that he was excited and nervous to become a father.

The 33-year-old DJ, who secretly welcomed a baby girl with former flame Amanda Markert, said he was ready to start his new life as a dad.

"Now its not DTF," Pauly said, "Now it's just diapers, tantrums and formula."

Although the new parents are in the middle of a custody fight over 5-month-old Amabella Sophia, Pauly told photographers that he wanted to make things right with Markert because its always important to have "the original mother" close to her child.

"I want to give the baby the best life she ever had," he explained.

Asked if he thought Markert was using the baby to get famous the DJ said, "yes, 100 percent."

"That's what happens, what are you gonna do?," he added.

According to reports, Markert is currently looking to sell texts from Pauly D in which he asked her to end her pregnancy. Although she reportedly took the money for an abortion, Markert had the baby anyway.

After learning about the supposed texts, Pauly went on Twitter to set the record straight.

"Sometimes in life things aren't planned and they may even scare you at first, but they end up being a blessing," he wrote.
