Kristen Stewart, Nicholas Hoult eyed for sci-fi love story 'Equals'

(UPI) -- Drake Doremus, the director behind 2011's Like Crazy, is reportedly considering Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult as the romantic leads for his upcoming science fiction film Equals.

Though Doremus has revealed few plot details for Nathan Parker-penned script, he told Little White Lies last July that he wanted to work on a "bigger" film.

"I definitely want to maintain the elements of the intimacy while doing something bigger and different," he said.

Parker also wrote 2008's Sam Rockwell space film, Moon.

"It’s not going to be out of hand," Doremus said of the budget, "But I think it’s a logical next step."

Stewart hasn't appeared in any 2013 films, though she starred in three 2012 films -- The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Snow White and the Huntsman and On the Road.

Hoult, who recently reunited with girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, starred in 2013's Warm Bodies and Jack the Giant Slayer.
