New York City suburban "pot mom" Andrea Sanderlin pleaded guilty on Tuesday to running a multimillion-dollar marijuana operation out of a Queens warehouse. After seeing her operation go up in smoke, Sanderlin, 45, confessed in front of a Brooklyn federal court.

"From 2009 to 2013 in Queens, New York, I operated a facility in which I, together with others, grew at least 1,000 marijuana plants and sold the marijuana product from the plants," she said.
The mother of three was arrested back in May when a warehouse that was registered in her name was raided by police. After discovering an estimated $3 million worth of marijuana at the warehouse, detectives searched her home and found books about how to grow grass and launder money.
The marijuana mom, who often draws comparisons to the fictional lead character in the Showtime TV series “Weeds,” cleaned her cash through a front company she called “Fantastic Enterprises.”
Sanderlin initially pleaded not guilty, but opted to change her plea Tuesday. She is free on $500,000 bail and faces up to 10 years in prison at sentencing. She will most likely not receive a maximum sentence because of her plea.
