Carrie Underwood sings 'Yesterday' with Paul McCartney's permission [VIDEO]

Carrie Underwood got the former Beatle to give his permission for her to sing "Yesterday" at the Emmys.

For her performance at the Emmy Awards, Carrie Underwood sang her own rendition of the Beatles' "Yesterday."

Before she sang it, the former "American Idol" star got permission straight from the song's writer, Paul McCartney.
