Katy Perry has spent two weeks at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her single "Roar," its success fueled in part by her recently released music video. But not everyone's a fan.
PETA has targeted the 28-year-old for using live animals -- like tigers and elephants -- in the "Roar" video. The organization says that animals employed for entertainment purposes are often mistreated.
“Animals used for entertainment endure horrific cruelty and suffer from extreme confinement and violent training methods,” the group said in a statement. “They often become stressed and anxious when hauled around and forced into unfamiliar or frightening situations.”
PETA added that Perry obtained the animals from Serengeti Ranch, an exhibitor the group says "has been inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture 22 times since 2001.

The animal rights advocacy group has previously praised Perry and her ex-husband Russell Brand for celebrating Christmas with a tofurky.
