A Thai Airways flight had a bit of a rough landing Sunday night in Bangkok, skidding off the runway at Suvarnabhumi Airport after a landing gear malfunctioned.

No people were injured in the landing, but 13 passengers experienced minor injuries during the subsequent evacuation and were transported to a local hospital.

In a statement, the airline's parent company said it would conduct an investigation into the incident.

The airline said sparks were seen near the right landing gear, but that the pilot remained in control of the plane until it came to a stop.

Within minutes of the Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which departed Guangzhou, China at 9:25 and landed in Bangkok at 11:20 p.m., airline workers had painted over the Thai Airways logos on plane's tail and fuselage, a move that is considered standard protocol for an accident, but not normally for a minor incident.

The incident is the second to befall the airline in two weeks. On August 30, at least 39 passengers were injured when an Airbus A380 on approach to Hong Kong hit turbulence
