Colombia earthquake 6.7 magnitude, most powerful in six years

A 6.7 magnitude earthquake rattled Colombia's west coast on Tuesday.

The quake, which has been deemed the largest to hit the country in the last six years, struck 63 miles west of the coastal city of Mutis at a depth of 2.7 miles at 10:43 a.m. local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said. It was reportedly felt from Medellin to Panama City.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos announced over Twitter there had been no casualties or tsunami threats.

No significant structural damages have been reported thus far.
