Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards gave "Glee" cast members the first major opportunity to speak publicly about Cory Monteith's passing.

We already saw Lea Michele's touching onstage tribute to her former leading man, in which she thanked fans for their support and remembered Monteith's "handsome smile and beautiful, beautiful heart."

But other members of Monteith's work family also spoke about missing the 31-year-old actor's presence on set and in their lives.

Amber Riley and Jenna Ushkowitz, who stood by Michele during her speech, also accepted "Glee's" award for Choice TV Comedy.

“We just want to say although … we lost someone that we really love, and that all of you guys loved, too, we are very fortunate to come back to a show where we feel the love of family," Riley said. "Cory was like a brother to us."

“On behalf of our brother and our cast mate we know that Cory would have wanted to dedicate this award to you guys, so our condolences to all of you as well and we love you so much. Thank you, guys," Ushkowitz said.

On the red carpet, Naya Rivera spoke about atmosphere on the "Glee" set, which is currently filming three new episodes -- one of which will deal directly with drug abuse and the death of Finn Hudson.

"[We're] definitely taking it day by day," Rivera said. "Something is definitely missing and you can feel the shift. But I think that everybody is leaning on each other and trying to do good work."

Newer "Glee" cast members, like Blake Jenner and Alex Newell, said they also felt Monteith's loss.

It's been very positive. I think it's better that we are together than separate," Jenner said. "We are all family."

"It's a family mood. We are all very happy to be back doing something we absolutely love, and it's one of those experiences where we love to go to work every day now," Newell added.
