John Cusack, Vanessa Hudgens star in crude 'The Frozen Ground' clip

A new, 2-minute video of a scene from Scott Walker's upcoming thriller "The Frozen Ground" debuted on Vimeo Thursday and it's causing quite the stir.

The clip features John Cusack's character, serial killer Robert Hansen, as he tortures his victim -- a young girl played byVanessa Hudgens -- in his house, and it has garnered considerably more attention than the official trailer for the film ever did.

At the time of this writing, the trailer, which was posted online in June, had received a little over 620 views on YouTube. The new clip, however, has been seen over 2,000 times in four days as it seems to show a more raw side to the film.

Starring Cusack, Hudgens and Nicholas Cage, "The Frozen Ground" will hit theaters August 23.
