'Big Brother's Amanda Zuckerman is the latest houseguest to make racist comments on air

By KATE STANTON, UPI.com

Though "Big Brother's" Amanda Zuckerman previously confronted fellow houseguest Aaryn Gries over derogatory comments she made toward Asian and African-American roommates -- as seen in the video below -- CBS cameras caught Zuckerman making her own racially insensitive remarks on camera.

"She wore my f---in' head band and didn't ask," Zuckerman recently said of her black housemate Candice Stewart. "She took it off your f***in' head and put it on her greasy-ass, nappy-hair head."

In one instance, a cast member immediately accused Zuckerman of being racist when she said, "I'm intrigued to hear what the black mamba's got to say," of Howard Overby, another black houseguest.

Houseguests Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman, who also made racist comments that were caught on "Big Brother's" online feed, lost their day jobs in the aftermath of the controversy.

In a statement, CBS said that "'Big Brother' is a reality show about watching a group of people who have no privacy 24/7 -- and seeing every moment of their lives."

At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone. We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by a Houseguest appearing on 'Big Brother,' either on any live feed from the House or during the broadcast, are those of the individual(s) speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program.
