Lisa Kudrow quashes fan hopes for a 'Friends' movie

"Friends" reunion rumors have dogged the cast since the show went off the air in 2004, despite persistent denials from the iconic sitcom's producers and six leads. Co-creator Marta Kauffman trampled fan hopes back in April, telling E! News that there were no plans for a movie or reunion of any kind.

Months later, Lisa Kudrow, who played the lovably clueless "Phoebe," is still answering questions about the non-existent film.

"There was never a "Friends" movie. Ever," Kudrow told CNN during an interview about the upcoming season of "Web Therapy."

But the 49-year-old actress said she was nearly fooled by a fake graphic circulating the Internet late last year.

Someone came up with a great graphic with the couch and it looked like a real teaser and I went, "Wait!" And then someone came up with a fake story and got some publication to buy the lie that there was going to be a reunion, so I saw on Twitter people were posting this article that NBC was really going to do it. And I went, "Wait a minute, was I not invited? Oh my God, maybe there is one and I wasn't asked to do it." I even had a moment where I believed it because everything around it looked real. It was a good setup.

Matthew Perry addressed that particular couch graphic in a Twitter post last November.
