Tara VanDerveer gets multiyear coaching contract with Stanford

Tara VanDerveer, Standford's Hall of Fame coach has reportedly signed a multiyear contract to continue to lead the university's women's basketball team.

VanDerveer, who's been Stanford's coach since 1985, was entered into the Hall of Fame in 2011. She's led the Stanford basketball team to reach the Final Four ten times.

During the 1995-96 season the 60-year-old coach stepped away from the team to lead the U.S. national team for the 1996 Olympics.

Thus far, neither the coach nor the school have revealed any details about the length or cost of their deal.
