Anthony Rendon hits home run, fan's face

Washington National Anthony Rendon hit a powerful home run during the fifth inning of Washington's game against Philadelphia Wednesday night. Unfortunately he also hit a fan in the process.

The following Vine shot by the Nat Enquirer expertly captures the ball's trajectory from Rendon's bat to the fan's ear.

In the end, the Nats beat the Phillies 5-1 and according to a tweet, the fan iced the injury and came back to his seat promptly.
