Groupon founder and former CEO Andrew Mason said last month that he was working on an album, and now "Hardly Workin'" is available on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play.

Mason, who was fired from Groupon earlier this year, says his soft-rock album is "motivational business music." The seven songs are intended to help "executives, mid-level management, and front-line employees."

"I've probably listened to the album over a dozen times now, and with each spin I feel like I learn something," Mason said.

In his blog, Mason encourages managers to play the album for employees in contextually appropriate situations.

"Try ending your next all-hands meeting with "It's Up to Us," for example. Or, having trouble communicating with a low-per/hi-po [low-performing, high-potential] employee? A "Thinkin' of You" note attached to a flash drive preloaded with "My Door is Always Open" might be the catalyst you need for that transformational breakthrough."

The album was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Don Gehman, who has worked with John Mellencamp and R.E.M. Mason, who is reportedly worth $200 million following his Groupon exit, said the album was an independent production.
