"Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Everly Tatum, who was born on May 31st in London," read a post in Tatum's official website.
Even thought the "White House Down" star told Vanity Fair that parenting "it's a bit of a free style" he also opened up about the kind of father he wants to be.
"I’m just going to be a good friend to my kid. One thing I definitely want to change is that whole ‘I don’t want you to make the same mistakes’ mentality. My dad didn’t have much money growing up; he didn’t have much of an education. He forced that on me, and I didn’t want it,” he said.
This is the first child for the couple who met on the set of the 2006 film "Step Up." They were married in March 2009.
