John Mayer performed at the reception for "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul and Lauren Parsekian after their Sunday wedding.

Mayer, 35, surprised guests with the serenade months after recovering from a September 2012 throat surgery to remove a granuloma from his vocal cords. Mayer first performed after the surgery in January, but has made few appearances as he gets used the changes caused by the surgery.

The reception was held in front of a Ferris wheel and followed a carnival theme. Mayer performed "Daughters" while Parsekian danced with her father. Some of Paul's fellow "Mad Men" cast members were present for the nuptials, as was Dita Von Teese.

Paul found Mayer behind the Ferris wheel after his performance and quietly thanked him for coming.

The ceremony took place at the Cottage Pavilion at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, Calif., Us reported. The couple worked with a 1920s Parisian carnival theme, and guests were asked to wear a masquerade mask for the reception.

Paul, 33, proposed to Parsekian in January 2012 on a trip to Paris.

"[The proposal was in] this little courtyard outside of this hotel. We were just dancing to Edith Piaf by ourselves on New Year's and then I begged her to marry me," he said.

Parsekian is co-CEO of Finding Kind Productions, which produced a documentary in 2009 to kick-start a movement to end girl-against-girl bullying.

Paul tweeted a picture of the two after the ceremony.
