Man arrested for putting crying baby in freezer

Tyler Deutsch was arrested in Washington state on Saturday after his girlfriend claims she saw him remove their infant daughter from the freezer.

Deutsch, 25, told sheriff's deputies he placed his 6-week-old baby in the freezer to stop her from crying. Washington Fox affiliate KCPQ reports the child's 22-year-old mother called 911 when she saw Deutsch remove the baby, who authorities say was in the freezer for about an hour.

The baby was rushed to Tacoma’s Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital with a body temperature of 84 degrees. Doctors expect her to make a full recovery.

Deutsch was arrested and charged on suspicion of attempted murder. He has no criminal history.
