May 19 (UPI) -- Kanye West debuted his new song, "New Slaves," by projecting a video onto 66 buildings around the world Friday night, just a day before the 35-year-old singer performed on "Saturday Night Live."

West posted the locations of the video projects to his website, and promoted the unusual premiere project earlier Friday night on Twitter:

"New Slaves" tackles racism and materialism, according to Rolling Stone. "I know that we're the new slaves/I see the blood on the leaves," he says in the chorus.

Yeezy's next album is rumored to drop June 18th, a date that he mysteriously tweeted and then deleted to his sparingly used Twitter feed.

West's last album, the critically acclaimed, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," came out in 2010.
