Brian Urlacher's 13-year career with the Chicago Bears ended last season -- but the linebacker has been getting closer to finding his new football home, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Urlacher, 34, left the Bears after the team low-balled him with a $1.6 million contract renewal offer.

He has been talking to both the Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos, but a Sun-Times source said that right now, Urlacher is leaning toward taking a one- to two-year contract with the Vikings.

NFL.com reports that the Vikings do not plan to give Urlacher an offer, however, and instead plan to use players already on the roster to fill the middle linebacker spot.
