Nina Dobrev splits from three-year boyfriend Ian Somerhalder

Looks like two television vampires won't be together until eternity.

"Vampire Diaries" costars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have ended their relationship, according to People.

The couple had announced their relationship in 2011, and had been seen together as recently as last month.

They will remain "consummate professionals," according to Us Weekly, and work to remain friends and get back to the way they were when the relationship started.

The drama is in its fourth season and was just renewed for a fifth. Filming begins later this year.
