The first look at footage from the film based on Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game" was released online this week as a teaser for a full-length trailer due next week.

The clip is introduced by Harrison Ford, who plays Colonel Hyrum Graff, and Asa Butterfield, who plays title character Ender Wiggin. In the science fiction film, Ender is "an underdog who rises up to become a leader and humanity's best hope for survival."

After Earth is attacked by aliens, Ender attends a legendary Battle School run by Ford's Colonel Graff. The clip shows what appears to be a Battle School bunk full of young recruits.

In addition to a space ship and battle room, the clip also offers a cameo by Ben Kingsley's Mazer Rackham. Directed by Gavin Hood, "Ender's Game" will be released in theaters November 1.
