May 3 (UPI) -- Pamela Bryant, mother of NBA star Kobe Bryant, has reportedly met with an auction house to sell some of her son's high school and pro memorabilia, according to Sports Illustrated.

Kobe Bryant, 34, filed a cease-and-desist order against his Goldin Auctions, claiming that the items, including game-worn jerseys, still belong to him despite having been stored in his mother's house for years.

Goldin Auctions responded with a lawsuit asking a judge to determine the goods' rightful owner.

Pamela was set to earn an expected $1.5 million from the memorabilia, according to Philly.com.

The suit said that after the Lakers shooting guard married Vanessa Laine, Pamela asked Laine whether they wanted the items and Laine said no.

The items were sent to the West Berlin, N.J. auction house in 2008. They have been stored and insured for $1,500 per month.

The lawsuit said that Pamela has used a $450,000 pre-auction consigning fee to buy a house. She still insists she owns all of the items.

This is not the first time the two have fought -- Pamela reportedly refused to attend Kobe's wedding because she and her husband thought Kobe, then 21, was too young. She allegedly disapproved of his marriage to Vanessa because she is not black.

Kobe Bryant must submit his legal response today. The hearing is set to take place on May 20.
